FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — 65% of American adults are now on social media.

According to the Pew Research Center, that’s a nearly tenfold increase since 2005.

Social networking has somewhat leveled off since 2013, but there’s been substantial growth in usage among the older folks.

35% of Americans 65 and older now use social media.

While it may be hard to imagine, with the grave grammatical errors made on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, those with a college education are more likely to use social sites, than those with only a high school diploma.
