Gov. Jerry Brown Signs Fair Pay Act

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) —  Governor Jerry Brown has signed the Fair Pay Act, enacting some of the strictest requirements in the country.

The measure prohibits employers from forbidding workers to compare wages. It also mandates equal pay for “substantially similar work.”
