Bill Banning Concealed Guns on Campuses on Governor’s Desk

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — California already has some of strongest firearms restrictions in the nation.

However, a bill sitting on the desk of Governor Jerry Brown would take them even further, by banning concealed weapons on school and college campuses.

It follows dozens of other states who’ve imposed similar bans. Meanwhile, some are going in the opposite direction, by expanding gun rights on campuses.

The mass school shootings have led to a national debate, over whether to tighten gun restrictions, or allow teachers and administrators to be armed as a means of prevention.
