(KMJ) – Fresno Police’s Shot-Spotter technology has proven effective again. Officers say it is responsible for the arrest of a man who reportedly fired an automatic handgun.
Officers say shots were automatically detected near the intersection of First and Clay in Southeast Fresno Wednesday night.
When officers arrived they found two men drinking outside one of the apartments. An empty holster was found nearby. And one of the men, Joe Rodriguez, admitted to officers he had a gun on him.
Rodriguez is now being held in the Fresno County Jail on firearms related charges.
