(KMJ) The Fresno State football season kicks off Thursday night against visiting Abilene Christian. The Bulldogs and Wildcats are scheduled to kick off at 7pm.
One of the changes at Bulldog Stadium that fans will notice is that the tailgate lot will open earlier and remain open during the game. There is also a fancy new high-def scoreboard and a skydiving team that will zoom into the stadium before the coin flip.
The Bulldogs and Wildcats have met four times through the years and each has won twice. However, the last meeting between ACU and Fresno St. took place over a half-century ago, when the Wildcats defeated the ‘Dogs 32-29 in 1963.
What to watch: How will the quarterbacks perform? Zack Greenlee has been named the starter. But Fresno State fans are almost guaranteed to see true freshman Chason Virgil (and possibly West Virginia transfer Ford Childress) get some action against the Wildcats, as well.
