(KMJ) Cooler weather is now aiding in the battle against the Rough Fire as it continues to burn in the Sierra.

A decline in temperature has allowed crews to work on fire lines along all areas of the blaze.

The Rough Fire remains the largest blaze now burning in California. It covers nearly 80-thousand acres.

The U.S. Forest Service has released this breakdown of where the fire has been burring:

Sierra National Forest: 47,954 acres
Sequoia National Forest: 31,661 acres
Kings Canyon National Park: 296 acres
State Responsibility Area: 62 acres

The Rough Fire remains at 25-percent containment.
