Jury Delivers “Not Guilty” Verdict In Raisin Farmer Murder

FANIAN MANSANALEZ

A “not guilty” verdict in the murder of a Biola area raisin farmer.

38 year-old George Salwasser Junior was shot back in May of 2014, when he found people trying to take the tires off of a stolen pick-up truck.

25 year-old Fabian Mansanalez was not there – but arranged for the truck to be stripped.

“I’m ecstatic with the outcome, and I thought it was the correct outcome – but you always have doubts when your client’s fate is put in the hands of the community.” Defense Attorney Mark Siegel.

Mansanalez (pictured middle) was found guilty of receiving a stolen vehicle and possession of a gun -not related to the homicide.

He will be sentenced October 1st.

The shooter, 33-year-old Jose Canes, who confessed to the crime, will be tried in November.
