FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Higher gas and diesel taxes, cap-and-trade revenue, and greater vehicle license and registration fees, are being considered as means of funding billions of dollars in repairs, to the Golden State’s crumbling roads and highways.

But, a mileage tax? The California Transportation Commission says that’s likely years away.

Among the inherit complexities: a lack of support, due to privacy concerns.
