Parlier Police sergeant Thomas Rodriguez was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of domestic violence.
Interim police chief Drew Bessinger said officers arrived at home in Parlier around 8:33 a.m. There they learned that Rodriguez, 46, was involved in a dispute with his wife or girlfriend. Bessinger declined to detail who the victim was.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s office was called in to handle the case due to the conflict of interest. And Deputies arrested Rodriguez and booked him into Fresno County Jail. He was later released on $25,000 bond.
Bessinger said that Rodriguez will be placed on administrative leave until the Sheriff’s investigation is concluded.
