At 8:30 Tuesday morning, Fresno Fire responded to the 7900 block of north Baird Ave to tackle a home on fire.
A woman inside the home was woken up by her smoke detector and notice smoke in her back yard. She went outside and discovered the doghouse on fire, with flames extending to the back porch.
When Fresno Fire crews arrived on scene, the blaze had caught the entire deck on fire. And flames had extended into the home.
It took crews approximately 20 minutes before the fire was under control.
There were no injuries reported and the cause is under investigation.
There was approximately $85,000 in damages.
