Valley Children’s Hospital held a ribbon cutting for it’s new Satellite Autism Center.
Fresno State President Joseph Castro was there along with Fresno State and hospital staff.
It’s a partnership with Fresno State’s autism center, allowing Children’s to expand its services — and train Fresno State Undergraduate and graduate students.
There is a real demand for Autism services, so much that there are already 20 referrals applying for the 16 new spaces made available for children at the center.
Valley Children’s Hospital CEO Todd Sundrapak says it’s the hospital’s wish to expand staff, services and space over the next 2-3 years to address the need for more autism service in the Central Valley.
