FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Fresno County saw an increase of 1,200 jobs in June, with gains in manufacturing, construction, and farming. That pushed the jobless rate down to 9.5%.

Madera, Merced, and Kings counties’ unemployment rates also declined, while Tulare County’s remained unchanged.

Statewide, non-farm payroll jobs rose by nearly 23,000, for a jobless rate of 6.3%.
