There’s something in the air or the water…at Community Regional.
“In about a month we’ve had about 5 set of triplets and it’s highly unusual – we’ve had a lot of twins that were born – multiples but not in sets of three.” – Mary Lisa Russell, Spokesperson, CRMC.
On Sunday, at 6:00am, the Trasoras Family brought the 5th set of triplets into the world at CRMC.
Stacie Trasoras spoke to KMJ News.
Stacie Trasoras: I was 33 weeks, 4 days.
KMJ’S Liz Kern: You need a nap.
Stacie: I know tell me about it, I tried to sleep and my mind is so busy I can’t sleep.
Thoughts of Stephanie, Alexis and Victoria (being held by Stacie).
“I was trying to decide whether to laugh or cry and I went with laughing.” – Stacie Trasoras, Mom of Trasoras Triplets
Stacie’s husband Oscar said it’s the happiest he’s been in a long time.
Liz: “Are these your first babies?
Oscar: “Ah, yes, maman.”
Liz: “So you got it done in one shot?”
Oscar: “One shot, one kill – that’s what the marine corps tells us (laughter).”
He might be a Marine- but with 3 daughters…Oscar’s going to need all his training in the future.
Triplets are rare: about 120 out of 100,000 live births in the United States.
