FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The California Film Commission has begun accepting applications from producers of independent and studio feature films.

California tripled annual funding for film incentives this year, and is allowing more projects to qualify.

Producers can recoup up to 25% of qualifying expenses.

The commission also approved nearly $83 million dollars in tax credits for television projects, which were previously shot outside of California.
