FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — California’s present regulatory environment is viewed as burdensome, complex, and cumbersome.
A new report from Bay Area law firm Archer Norris, PLC, claims that while the Golden State was once widely considered to be the “Promised Land” for corporations, they’re now thinking twice before doing business here.
Companies surveyed said they’re concerned about employment litigation, taxes, as well as health and safety codes.
It’s been dubbed the “Reverse California Gold Rush,” and the state is getting “panned” by more and more businesses.
Making California more business-friendly has been a goal of the legislature’s, although Republicans and Democrats differ greatly in how to make that a reality.
