Police in Fresno are searching for suspects in a morning shooting in Central Fresno.
On Thursday, June 18th, at 9:12 am, Northeast patrol officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of East Dakota Avenue regarding a man shot in the chest.
Officers arrived to find a wounded 40 year old African American male.
He was transported to CRMC for treatment and was listed in critical condition.
Police say there were 2 suspects described as African-American males in dark clothing -one of which was armed with a handgun.
After shooting the victim, the suspects fled on foot Northbound on Diana.
The Senior Resources Center was put on lock down because the man was shot right outside the building on Diana.
“We do have information that we are working.” – Northeast District Commander Don Gross.
“If anyone in the community can identify the suspects, please call Crimestoppers at 498-STOP – the citizen can remain anonymous and receive a cash reward.” – Lt Joe Gomez, Police Spokesperson.
