20 year old Gustavo Hernandez is arraigned on two counts of attempted murder in Fresno County Superior Court.
Hernandez is pleading not guilty to the attack on a woman and her husband in their home.
It was June 14th, when Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home near Cedar and Malaga.
A neighbor had called police after finding 21-year old Francisca Sanchez bleeding profusely from her neck – her throat had been slashed.
Her husband, 23 year old Tony Sanchez, was lying face down and unconscious on the floor of their home – his head had been smashed.
The couple was taken to CRMC.
Their child was home at the time, but was not injured during the assault.
Investigators still don’t know what motivated the gruesome attack.
Hernandez is set to appear for a pre-preliminary hearing on June 22, at 8:30a.m.
He could face a minimum of 16 years behind bars if convicted
