Nobel Chemist Learns Why Chauvinism is Bad for Your Career

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — University College London and Nobel prize-winning biochemist Tim Hunt has resigned from his honorary post, after proclaiming that there’s “trouble with girls” working in the lab.

Hunt told a conference of science journalists earlier this week that three things happen: “You fall in love with them, they fall in love with you, and when you criticize them, they cry.”

Unsurprisingly, the women weren’t laughing, and many female scientists are posting photos of themselves in the lab, with the hash tag #DistractinglySexy.
