FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — A judge has ruled that a Fresno jury got the verdict wrong earlier this year, when it found that Greyhound was not negligent, in the deadly 2010 wreck on highway 99.

Three young women were killed, when the driver of the vehicle they were in swerved, and flipped their SUV, before they were struck by a bus.

The families of Sylvia Garay, Stephanie Cordoba, and Vanessa Gonzalez sued Greyhound, claiming the bus driver was speeding, and wasn’t wearing his glasses.

However, the CHP blamed Garay, saying she was driving under the influence.

Now, a judge has ruled that evidence indicates the bus driver was indeed speeding, and not wearing his prescription glasses.

A new trial date is pending.
