FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — As the legislature debates eliminating personal-belief and religious exemptions, 67% of parents say they support requiring children to be vaccinated, before they enter kindergarten.
That’s according to the Public Policy Institute of California, whose latest poll also found that strong majorities believe the vaccines are safe.
However, Hispanics were found to be less likely than whites, to hold that view.
If the controversial legislation were to be approved, California would be come the third state in the nation to require vaccination.
