A nine-year-old girl is in critical condition in Los Angeles, after a car at LAX jumped the sidewalk, hit the child and slammed into Terminal 7.
A witness, Catherine Cox describes the incident:
“After I realized it wasn’t a bomb in the terminal, then I thought it might have been a shooter because people were running past me – like running for their lives past me – then I was hearing high pitched screams.- Catherine Cox, Witness.
The Porsche Panamera struck the child before crashing into a utility room at the terminal.
According to the LA Times, police there say the driver likely mistook the gas pedal for the brake, causing the crash.
The vehicle’s 67-year-old driver and passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
