2015 Expected to be Big for CA Tomato Processors

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Processors are expecting contracts for more than 14 million tons of tomatoes this year.

According to the USDA, that’s a 2% increase from last year’s record.

Fresno remains California’s top county for planted acreage, with 91,000 acres of processing tomatoes.
