CA Economy Gearing Up For Growth Despite Drought

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The Golden State’s economy will continue to expand, despite the ongoing drought.

According the Center for Business and Policy Research at University of the Pacific, California should see job growth of nearly 3% this year.

New home construction is picking up, and the center says here in the valley, the agriculture industry is showing resilience against the severe lack of water.

Most valley metro areas are expected to see single-digit unemployment rates within the coming months.
