FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health has released a 21-page safety standards draft, which aims to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

It calls for eye gear in certain situations, and requiring producers to pay for medical visits, as well as Hepatitis B vaccines for performers.

However, actors claims the regulations would make porn films look like medical dramas, stigmatize the industry, and force producers underground.

The board is expected to take action on the proposal by March of 2016.
