STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) – A Stockton mom is relieved after her 4-year-old son jumped out of a moving car that was stolen with him inside.
KCRA-TV reports that the mother, Hahn Tran, says she was loading up her car Sunday morning and then went inside her home to say goodbye to family. That is when a man got into her car and took off with her son Peyton inside.
A neighbor says he saw the little boy open the door and jump out as soon as the vehicle turned a corner. He and several neighbors ran to Peyton’s side and walked him back home.
Officers are still looking for the driver.
