FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Local farmers are having to contend with an unusually large pest population this spring, due to the quickly warming temps.
That’s according to researchers at the University of California.
Several pests, including the Asian citrus syllid were active this past winter, requiring treatment much earlier than usual.
Growers are also seeing more insects like the navel orangeworm and beet armyworm.
