FRESNO (KMJ) — A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing a fire in a vacant lot in Downtown Fresno.
When fire crews arrived – they found the flames approaching a nearby home.
Witnesses say they saw Nyree Bernard standing next to the blaze – burning paper and personal belongings. Investigators detained Bernard – and she’s now in Fresno County Jail charged with willfully and maliciously setting fire to the vegetation property.
