FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The California Energy Commission is proposing new energy efficiency standards for computers and monitors.
They include more efficient screens, enhanced sleep modes for computers, and auto power management features.
The commission believes, when fully implemented, the standards could save $430 million every year.
They would be rolled out as early as January of 2017.
