~A swat stand-off in Madera County ended with a man in custody,
It started about 3am Thursday, when Madera County Sheriff's Deputies say 26 year old Rodrigo Fernandez is believed to have been in a domestic dispute with a woman, and shots were fired.
Lieutenant Bill Ward says Fernandez then came to his residence near the Red Top Market in Madera and refused to come out.
Officers had cordoned off the area near Highway 152 and Highway 59…and waited.
"Shortly before noon, the SWAT team introduced chemical agents or tear gas into the house because we hadn't had any luck with talking to him, he wouldn't talk to us – so we put tear gas into the house, shortly after that he came out" – Lieutenant Bill Ward
Fernandez will be facing arraignment over a number of charges including terrorists threats, negligent discharge of a firearm, and warrants for illegal assault weapons.
