FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — With the ongoing drought, the threat posed by wildfires is substantially greater.
According to financial company CoreLogic, nearly 80,000 Central Valley homes, are in danger of being damaged by a blaze.
Here in Fresno, 4,300 properties are at high, or very high risk.
Madera, Merced, and Sacramento also have thousands of at-risk homes.
Property owners have been advised to prepare for wildfires by removing dry grass and weeds.
