FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — More than a third of Americans are in danger of a financial train wreck.
That’s among the findings of a new survey by BankRate, which also found that nearly as many have more credit card debt, than they have saved up for an emergency.
People between 30 and 49 are said to be the most vulnerable, likely due to the expenses of raising kids, and paying for housing.
However, the percentage of Americans who have more emergency savings than debt has risen to 58%.
In addition, more of say they’re secure in their job at this point, and are feeling more optimistic about their debt load.
