~Lights will dim on the Vegas strip on Wednesday, as Sin City pays tribute to Coach Jerry Tarkanian
Coach Tark is getting a Vegas style salute thanks to a twitter campaign called DimTheLights4Tark that got momentum from social media.
First one casino got into the spirit, then the next – from the Stratosphere to Caesars.
So Wednesday night, the Entertainment Capital of the World will turn off its bright lights for 3 minutes to show some Vegas love for Coach Tark –the man who brought its college team to the national stage.
Lights will dim after the UNLV game against Boise State @ 10:30.
It's an honor bestowed only for the likes of Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan. And now, Jerry Tarkanian
The Tarkanian Family is planning a separate memorial for fans at the "Thomas & Mack Center" on Sunday,March 1st.
