FRESNO (KMJ) — Figures from the weekend's storm are in – and meteorologists describe it as a good 'one two punch' of rain.
Up to an inch of rain fell over the valley over the weekend – with more falling over the Sierra Nevada mountains.
In Fresno – almost a half an inch of rain was measured – with more than twice that amount in Merced.
"Rain fall amounts of anywhere from two to five inches – so we've seen some pretty good flows up in Yosemite right now for the waterfalls", says National Weather Service meteorologist Jeff Barlow
"I was talking to a camper earlier today. He's up there and he was telling me the waterfalls are really flowing like they would in May"
He says it was a pretty impressive system of rain – with the mountains seeing the best of it.
The winds too didn't fail to disappoint – with gusts of up to 75 mph registered in the High Sierra mountains.
