Suspect in Blood Throwing Banned from CA Capitol

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – A California woman accused of throwing menstrual blood at legislators was ordered by a judge to stay away from the state Capitol while awaiting trial.

Rebecca Dalelio did not enter a plea Monday and will return to Sacramento County Superior Court next month to face charges of vandalism and assault on public officials.

The Sacramento Bee reported the 43-year-old Santa Cruz County resident did not speak and rushed out of the room after proceedings.

She allegedly threw the blood at senators from the Senate balcony in September, reportedly shouting, “that’s for the dead babies.” Dalelio was with a group protesting vaccination legislation.
