20 Year-old Woman Murdered in Terra Bella, Detectives Searching for “Person of Interest”

TULARE COUNTY, CA (KMJ) – A 20-year-old woman died in a shooting Monday morning in Terra Bella.

Detectives are now searching for a “Person of Interest.”

Just before 12:30 a.m. Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home in the area of Ave 88 and Road 256, where they found a woman who had been shot.

She was taken to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as 20-year-old Esperanza Silva Aldaco from Porterville.

The Homicide Unit took over the investigation.

Detectives have identified 23-year-old Pedro Cruz Elorza of Terra Bella as a person of interest in the shooting death of Aldaco.

Elorza is believed to have run away shortly after the shooting and to be heading toward the San Diego Border.

Detectives are working with federal agencies trying to catch Elorza.
