(KMJ) – Before Governor Gavin Newsom delivers the keynote address to the California Economic Summit in Downtown Fresno this Friday morning, he’ll reportedly appear at a fundraiser for Valley Democratic Congressman Jim Costa.
Multiple sources say the governor is due to attend Thursday night’s event at a yet to be disclosed location.
It comes as the incumbent faces several challengers in his bid to retain his seat in the 16th congressional district.
They include Fresno City Councilwoman and fellow Democrat Esmeralda Soria and retired Clovis unified educator and Republican Kevin Cookingham.
