Man Arrested After Leading Deputies on Chase, School Lockdowns Lifted

TULARE COUNTY, CA (KMJ) — A man has been arrested after leading deputies on a chase, and a lockdown has been lifted on an elementary school.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said happened Friday morning near Alpine Vista Elementary School.

The Sheriff’s Office says the chase started with an erratic driver at the intersection of Morrison and Bardsley. The driver then ran off on foot.

Alpine Vista Elementary School and Mission Oak were both placed on lockdown while deputies searched the area for the man.

Around 9:00 a.m. Friday, the man was arrested and the lockdowns were lifted.
