Two Shootings In Merced, Woman Taken to Hospital Say Police

MERCED, CA (KMJ) – Two shootings take place Friday in Merced, a woman is taken to hospital, say Merced Police.

Police say the first shooting took place around 5:30 in the morning by the 100 block of E. Main Street by and E Street.

The victim had been inside her home when she saw someone breaking the window of her car.

She went outside to confront them, and that’s when police say a second person, in the yard outside the home, shot her in the upper torso.

Both suspects fled.

At 9:15 in the morning gunfire rang out by 134 E. Main Street.

Several rounds were fired into a house but no one was hurt

Merced Police are investigating both shootings to determine if and how they are related.
