Orosi Man Suspected of Stealing From Storage Units, 2nd Suspect Still at Large

OROSI, CA (KMJ) – An Orosi man is busted for allegedly stealing from storage units, another suspect is still at large.

The Tulare County Sheriffs Office said Orosi Sheriff’s deputies were called out on a report of burglary on March 16, 2019.

They were told that at least two storage units were broken into at Glen’s Mini-Storage at 12358 Avenue 416, with the burglars taking clothes, jewelry, tools and lawn equipment.

Video surveillance footage helped detectives, and a search warrant was served at a home in the 41500 block of Beinhorn Street in Orosi.

The Tulare County Sheriffs Office said the investigation revealed 21-year-old Oscar Martinez Arriaga of Orosi and another person broke into to the victims’ storage units and stole their property.

Arriaga was arrested, and booked into the Adult Pre-Trial Facility without incident.

He is being charged with burglary and possession of stolen property.

 

During the warrant, Detectives seized clothing, hand tools, lawn equipment, jewelry and other items that were later returned to the owners.

The estimated recovery value was $5,410 dollars.
