Fresno Man Behind Bars on Attempted Murder Charges

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Fresno man is behind bars on attempted murder charges.

On Tuesday, Fresno Police arrested 28-year-old Marcelino Higareda, a Bulldog gang member, for allegedly kicking and punching a man, who was putting air in his tires at a gas station.

It happened October 31, 2018, at approximately 2:00 a.m., at the Arco gas station located at 2429 E. McKinley.

Police say during the confrontation, the suspect yelled, “What’s up Bulldog!” and then proceeded to kick and punch the victim.

As he drove away, Higareda struck the victim’s car.

He and another victim got out to inspect the damage during which Higardea struck them with his vehicle.

On March 19, 2019, members from the Street Violence Tac Team received information that enabled them to track him down at his home in southeast Fresno.

Higareda was placed into custody without incident.
