Central Valley Non-Profits Invited to Apply for Grant Money

 

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Central Valley non-profits invited to apply for grant money.

In the past 5 years, there have been 56 non-profits in the Sacramento and Fresno regions that have received over 2.6 million dollars from the Golden 1 Credit Union Community Grant Program.

Now’s the time to submit an application.

 

AREAS OF FOCUS

Golden 1 Credit Union grants will fund programs that address needs of children and young adults in two categories:
1.Literacy: Programs that help children and young adults learn to read, improve their reading comprehension, and assist them in improving school performance.

2.Transition-Age Foster Youth: Programs that provide services, assistance, and opportunities for young people between the ages of 16 and 24 years old who are or have been in foster care.

Non-profits that are are chosen will receive up to $50,000 for literacy and foster youth programs operating from July 2019 to June 2020.

Proposals will be accepted from January 30 through March 10, 2019 for programs operating July 2019 through June 2020.
