The suit filed Tuesday in San Francisco charges that equipment from Pacific Gas and Electric ignited the blaze.  However, CalFIRE has yet to officially list the cause of the blaze that’s claimed dozens of lives.

But PG&E did confirm to the state it did note an outage on its line – in the same area where the Camp Fire began.

“We want PG&E to be held accountable,” explained attorney Mike Danko, who represents the plaintiffs. “We want the state legislators to look at the clients and make sure that their rights are protected.”

This lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and alleges violations of state laws on utilities and public safety.
