Donations Wanted In Fresno State’s Second Annual Day Of Giving

FRESNO (KMJ) — After an early morning start, Fresno State’s “Day of Giving” has begun its second year. The online fundraiser has been put together to generate donations for the college, with individual departments competing with each other.

Last year’s drive generated $424,755 in donations, from 1,123 donors. Organizers hope this year’s numbers beat that record. The one-day fundraiser started just after midnight Thursday and continues until 11.59pm.

“You could donate to Fresno State in general, or you could donate to a specific college, or different programs like Smittcamp,” explained ASI President Demi Wack.

“Just a lot of ways you can get involved. Say I graduated from the College of Math and Science I could donate specifically from the College of Math and Science.”

Donations of $10 or more can be sent electronically through dayofgiving.fresnostate.edu (click here to visit). The monetary gifts are tax deductible.
