Report: Calif. Among Least Teacher-Friendly States

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — California is among the least teacher-friendly states in the nation, according to a new WalletHub report.

The state ranks 31st overall.

When it comes to the student-teacher ratio, California comes in dead last.

It also gets low scores for the average starting salary, income growth potential, the quality of the public school system, and spending per student.

New York is the best state for teachers, according to WalletHub, while Hawaii is said to be the worst.
