Atwater Man Charged For Sexual Exploitation Of Children Through Apps

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – An Atwater man is charged with sexual exploitation of children through apps.

A federal grand jury returned a 3-count indictment Thursday against 26 year-old Nikko Adolfo Perez.

According to court documents, Perez used the Instagram screen name captainamerica272018 on Instagram, Omegle, Kik, and other apps.

He victimized two boys, ages 8 and 10, in Utah by coercing them into sending explicit images for which he would pay them in Google Play credits if they engaged in requested sexual acts or poses.

When one of the victims said he would “call 911,” Perez threatened to share the sexually explicit images.

He also threatened to harm family members of the victims.

If convicted, Perez faces up to life in prison, and a $250,000 fine and a lifetime term of supervised release.
