FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Pretty fish to see at the 40th Annual Central California Koi Show.
The event is taking place in Fresno’s Fig Garden Village on Palm and Shaw.
Rosemary Tran (above) is the President of the Central California Koi Society and explains the allure of the aquatic pets.
“It’s a hobby, people like to collect them, it’s relaxing, they like to see them swim in their pond, and it adds to their water garden and their backyard enjoyment.” said Tran.
Tran says there will be vendors, people can get information about setting up a pond and fish care, and also buy Koi fish.
Exhibitors are coming from San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Bay area to exhibit their Koi.
The show is free from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday, September 22, and Sunday, September 23rd.
