New Fresno County Agricultural Crop Report

Fresno County farmers and ranchers generated $7,028,024,100 in gross sales for the county in 2017.

The top ten crops are almonds, grapes, poultry, pistachios, milk, mandarins, cattle & calves, tomatoes, peaches and oranges.

Les Wright, Fresno County Agricultural Commissioner presented the new report to the Fresno County Board of Supervisors.

Wright says of special interest is the pistachio nut crop which was valued at $517,033,000, an increase of more than a 104%.  The fresh mandarin crop recorded an increase of more than 124% compared to 2016 numbers.

73 of the nearly 400 commodities have a value greater than one million dollars.
