FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – An employee at a South Valley tomato processor has died after an accident at the plant.
Just after 5:30 Thursday morning, Lemoore Police responded to a report of a traffic collision at the Olam Tomato Processing plant in the 1100 block of S. 19th Ave.
Police say an employee was having mechanical difficulties pulling a truck out of a loading dock.
Another employee tried to release a valve underneath the trailer.
The truck driver did not see him and began moving forward.
Life saving measures were performed on scene and the man was transported to Adventist Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
This collision is still under investigation.
