More Americans Spending All of Their Income on Living Expenses

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Nearly half of Americans are spending virtually all of their income on living expenses.

According to the Center for Financial Services Innovation, the figure is even higher, at 54 percent, among those between the ages of 18 and 25.

Researchers cite rising rents and higher transportation costs, along with irregular income.

Almost 40 percent of those spending their entire check on living expenses, are struggling with fluctuations in pay.
