Walter Sterling was the youngest New York City scheduled talk show host in history, breaking into radio on WXLO FM at the age of 20.
Sterling was the youngest Executive Vice President in the history of NBC. He was put in charge of the NBC FM stations at the age of 26. “I was not popular among my executive peers and I don’t blame them,” he quipped.
After NBC he lead the ABC Radio networks for several years before becoming a sought after consultant. He worked on site at Sirius Satellite radio for eight years before launching “Sterling on Sundays” in 2015.
